Inviting team members ===================== Owners and admins invite teammates by generating a single-use invite link. Pick a role, copy the link, and share it yourself. Links expire in 7 days and each one works for one person only. Category: Teams & Collaboration | Last updated: 2026-07-07 You invite teammates by generating an invite link and sharing it yourself. There is no automatic email step: SuperSchema creates the link, you copy it, and you send it however you like (Slack, email, a message). Each link is single-use and expires in 7 days. Only team owners and admins can create invites; members cannot. HOW TO INVITE SOMEONE 1. Open the team switcher in the top navigation and go to Team Settings. 2. Open the invitations area (the Invite center), or from Team Members click Invite member. 3. Under Select role, choose Member or Admin. 4. Click Invite Member to generate the link. 5. In the Invite Link Created popup, click Copy Invite Link. 6. Send the copied link to the person you are inviting. Note: The first time an owner creates an invite, SuperSchema may ask for an organization name. That name is what teammates see as the workspace name on the join screen. Enter it once and the invite is created right after. CHOOSING THE ROLE You pick the new person’s role when you generate the link, and it is applied automatically when they accept: Member: Can generate schemas and use core features in the shared workspace. Cannot manage the team or billing. Admin: Everything a member can do, plus invite and remove members and manage billing. Cannot change ownership. Tip: You cannot invite someone as an owner. There is exactly one owner per team, set to whoever created it. See team roles and permissions for the full breakdown. HOW INVITE LINKS BEHAVE - Single-use: each link works for exactly one person. Invite three people, generate three links. - Expiry: a link expires 7 days after you create it. The invite list shows text like "Expires in 5 days" or "Expires tomorrow". - Shareable: the link is not emailed for you. You copy and send it. - Trackable: active links show under Active Invites; used or expired ones move to Past Invites, where a used invite shows who joined. To cancel a link before someone uses it, find it under Active Invites and click the delete (trash) icon, then confirm. Deleting a link means anyone holding it can no longer use it to join. You cannot delete an invite that has already been used; you would remove that person from Team Members instead. SEATS AND THE TEAM FULL STATE The invite panel shows how many seats are open. Seats come from the owner’s plan (for example 2 on Essential, 5 on Growth, 20 on Portfolio, unlimited on Enterprise), and the count includes people already on the team plus any pending invite links you have not used yet. Warning: If there are no seats left, the button shows Team Full and invites are blocked. Free up a seat by removing a member or deleting an unused pending invite, or have the owner move to a plan with more seats. On the Free Trial, inviting is not available at all because the workspace is limited to one seat. Note: Invites also require the team to be on an active paid plan. If the plan lapses, new links cannot be generated or accepted until the subscription is active again.
