# Frequently asked questions > Quick, straight answers to the most common questions about SuperSchema: what it is, the free Site Scan, scoring, generating and deploying schema, verification, monitoring, audits, billing, and teams. Each answer links to the deeper guide. *Category: FAQ ยท Last updated: 2026-07-07* --- ### Getting started **What is SuperSchema, in one line?:** It is the AI-facing layer of your business. It helps AI systems like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI understand and recommend you. SEO gets you found; SuperSchema gets you understood. See getting started. **Is there a free plan?:** Yes. Run a free Site Scan for an instant read on how AI understands your site, no account and no card required. Ongoing monitoring, citation tracking, and bot tracking are part of the paid subscription plans. See running a free scan. **Do I need an account to run a Site Scan?:** No. You can run a free scan with no account. When it finishes, you create a free account (no card, under 30 seconds) to claim the report and unlock your full score and prioritized fixes. See claiming a scan. **Will scanning change or break my live site?:** No. The scan is read-only. It only requests your public pages the way a search engine would, and it never logs in, changes content, or modifies settings. See running a free scan. **Do you use credits?:** No. Credits are retired. Pricing is monitoring subscriptions (Essential, Growth, Portfolio, Enterprise) plus optional one-time audits. There is no "Pro" subscription tier; "Pro" is only the name of an audit package. See billing and plans. ### Scoring **What is a good SuperSchema Score?:** The SuperSchema Score runs from 0 to 100 across five categories (Access, Content, Structure, Schema, and Alternate). A score in the 80s is genuinely strong, since very few sites are AI-ready today. See your SuperSchema Score and how scoring works. **What is the difference between the SuperSchema Score and the schema quality score?:** The SuperSchema Score measures your whole site's AI visibility. The schema quality score measures a single generated schema. There is also a Citation Score, the share of AI answers that cite you. See understanding your scores. ### Generating and deploying schema **How do I deploy schema to my site?:** Copy the generated package and paste it into your page head, or push it in one click if you have connected HubSpot. Then run verification to confirm it is live. See deployment options overview and copy-paste into head. **Can I edit the schema after generating it?:** Yes. The editor lets you change any field with live validation. If you break something, you can regenerate or run AI refinement. See editing schema. **Why is my schema not showing up in search results?:** Schema does not guarantee rich results; it makes them possible. Google still has to crawl and index your page, validate the schema, and decide your content deserves a rich result, which can take days or weeks. Keep your schema valid and your content strong. See schema implementation. ### Verifying and monitoring **Why does verification say "not detected"?:** Usually the code is not published to the live page yet, you verified the wrong URL, or our crawler was blocked. Re-run verification once (caches lag), then work through the causes in order. See verification troubleshooting. **What does monitoring actually do?:** It re-checks your monitored pages on a schedule, watches for drift (when your schema or answers change or go stale), and alerts you. Higher plans add more pages, longer history, and more citation scans. See what monitoring does. ### Audits **What is the difference between an audit and monitoring?:** An audit is a one-time, done-for-you diagnostic delivered by the SuperSchema team: a snapshot of the gap between your website and what AI understands, with a prioritized fix plan. Monitoring is an ongoing self-serve subscription that keeps your AI-readable layer current over time. You can use either on its own. See the SuperSchema Audit. ### Billing and plans **What happens if I hit my page limit?:** Already-monitored pages keep working; the limit only applies to activating new pages. You will be prompted to upgrade to the next plan for more. See choosing a monitoring plan. **Can I get a refund?:** See the current refund policy in Settings, then Billing. Because a free Site Scan lets you evaluate first, we recommend starting there. See refunds and plan changes. **Is my data secure?:** Yes. We use industry-standard encryption, HubSpot tokens are encrypted at rest, and we never store your payment details (handled by Stripe). See account security. ### Use cases and teams **Does SuperSchema work for e-commerce?:** Yes. It auto-detects Product schema for e-commerce pages (price, availability, reviews, ratings) and works with Shopify, WooCommerce, and any platform. See supported schema types. **Can I use SuperSchema for client work and teams?:** Yes. Agencies and operators use it across client sites. The Portfolio plan covers multiple brands and domains, the Agency audit pack is built for client delivery, and you can invite team members to share access. See how teams work and inviting team members. ## Questions this answers - What is SuperSchema, in one line? - Is there a free plan? - Do I need an account to run a Site Scan? - Will scanning change or break my live site? - What is a good SuperSchema Score? - What is the difference between an audit and monitoring? - Do you use credits? - How do I deploy schema to my site? - Can I edit the schema after generating it? - Why is my schema not showing up in search results? - Why does verification say "not detected"? - What does monitoring actually do? - What happens if I hit my page limit? - Can I get a refund? - Is my data secure? - Does SuperSchema work for e-commerce? - Can I use SuperSchema for client work and teams? ## Related - https://superschema.ai/docs/getting-started - https://superschema.ai/docs/billing-and-plans - https://superschema.ai/docs/superschema-audit - https://superschema.ai/docs/troubleshooting-hub
