# Adding multiple schema types to one page

> A single page can carry several schema types. Use "Add Schema Type" to generate more types for the same URL, switch between them with tabs, and copy them all out together. Adding types is free, and a page can hold up to 10.

Many pages benefit from more than one schema type. A blog post can be both an Article and part of your Organization. A product page can carry Product plus a FAQ. SuperSchema lets you generate several types for the same URL, keeps each one on its own tab with its own quality score, and copies them all out together when you deploy.

### How to add another type

1. Generate schema for a page as usual.
2. In the tab row above the editor, click the "Add Schema Type" button (it shows a "(Free)" label).
3. Pick the type you want to add from the list. Types already on the page are excluded so you do not duplicate one.
4. Wait while it generates. A "Generating [type]..." badge appears next to the tabs.
5. The new type lands on its own tab, ready to review, refine, or copy alongside the others.

### How the tabs work

- Each schema type on the page gets its own tab, labeled with the type name (for example Article or FAQPage).
- Click a tab to load that type into the editor. Each type carries its own quality score and its own refinements.
- The editor shows the type on the active tab. When you copy the implementation code, all types on the page are included together.
- A page can hold up to 10 schema types. Once you reach 10, the "Add Schema Type" button no longer appears.

> **Note:** Switching tabs only changes what you are viewing and editing. It does not remove or replace the other types, which stay on the page.

### It is free to add types

Adding more schema types to a page you have already generated does not cost anything extra, which is why the button is marked "(Free)". Schema generation is included on paid plans and is not billed per schema, so you can add as many types as a page genuinely warrants and regenerate them freely.

> **Tip:** More types is not automatically better. Add the ones the page actually supports (an Article that is also part of your Organization, say) rather than forcing every type onto every page.
