You manage everything about your monitoring plan from Settings, then Billing. That page shows your current plan and usage under "Plan and Usage," a set of plan cards under "Plan Options" for switching tiers, a "Subscription" card for pausing and cancelling, a "Payment Method" card, and "Invoice History." Billing actions are reserved for workspace owners and admins. If you are a team member without billing access, the page shows a "Workspace admin required" notice and asks you to have an admin make changes.
Change your plan (upgrade or downgrade) #
- Open Settings, then Billing.
- Scroll to the plan cards under Plan Options.
- Use the Monthly and Annual toggle at the top to pick a billing period. The Annual option shows "Save 20%".
- On the tier you want, click "Upgrade to <plan>" to move up, or "Schedule downgrade" to move down.
- Review the confirmation, which shows the estimated prorated charge, then confirm.
- Upgrades
- Take effect immediately and are prorated. Stripe calculates the prorated difference for the rest of your current period and charges it right away, so you only pay for the upgrade you use.
- Downgrades
- Are scheduled, not instant. Your current plan stays active until the end of the billing period, and the lower tier begins at renewal. Until then the billing page shows "Downgrade scheduled to <plan>."
- Cancel a scheduled downgrade
- If you scheduled a downgrade and change your mind, you can cancel that pending change before it takes effect and stay on your current plan.
Switch between monthly and annual #
Annual billing saves 20 percent versus monthly. Use the Monthly and Annual toggle in Plan Options and confirm the plan on the billing period you want. Switching to annual applies to your subscription so your next renewal is billed for the year.
Pause instead of cancel #
If you want a short break without losing your setup, you can pause. Pausing stops billing for one billing period and then resumes automatically, and your data stays safe while paused. The Subscription card shows a "Paused" badge and the date billing resumes. You can resume early with the "Resume Billing" button. You cannot pause a subscription that is already set to cancel.
Cancel and reactivate #
- Open Settings, then Billing.
- In the Subscription card, click "Cancel Subscription."
- In the dialog, confirm with "Cancel at end of period." Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period.
- Changed your mind? Before the period ends, use "Keep Subscription" (also shown as "Keep my plan") to reactivate and continue without interruption.
If a payment fails #
If a charge fails, your subscription is marked Past Due. You will see a red banner across the app that reads "Payment failed. Update your payment method to keep Pro access," with an "Update payment method" link, and the Subscription card shows a "Past Due" badge. Update the card on file on the billing page to clear it and keep your plan from lapsing at the end of the cycle.
