Teams & Collaboration

Team features and your plan

Team collaboration is included with paid plans. On the Free Trial your workspace is a single seat, so inviting and managing teammates is locked. Moving to a paid plan unlocks it right away, and your plan sets how many seats you get.

Team collaboration, inviting teammates, assigning roles, and sharing a workspace, is included with the paid plans. Team availability is set by the owner’s plan, not by any separate add-on. On the Free Trial the workspace is limited to a single seat (just you), so the invite and team-management controls are locked with a prompt to see subscription plans. Note that there is no "Pro" subscription: "Pro" only appears as the name of a one-time audit package, and it is unrelated to teams.

Why it is locked on the Free Trial #

The Free Trial is built for one person to test the core setup flow, so it includes one seat. Because inviting a teammate would need a second seat, the invite flow is unavailable until the owner is on a paid plan. When you open the team area on the trial, you will see a message that paid plans unlock shared workspace access, with links to review plans.

Note Once the owner is on a paid plan, team management unlocks immediately. There is no separate team setup: the workspace you already have simply gains the ability to invite people.

Seats by plan #

How many people your team can hold depends on the owner’s plan. The count includes the owner:

PlanTeam members included
Free Trial1 (you only)
Essential2
Growth5
Portfolio20
EnterpriseUnlimited

For current prices and the rest of what each plan includes, see the pricing page. Annual billing is available at a discount.

Who pays #

Only the owner needs a paid subscription. The owner holds the plan for the whole team, and everyone they invite works under it. Teammates do not each buy their own subscription to collaborate.

Team is full
Every seat on the current plan is taken (existing members plus any pending invite links). Remove someone, delete an unused invite, or move to a plan with more seats.
Subscription lapsed
If the owner’s plan becomes inactive, new members cannot be invited or join until the subscription is active again. Existing members keep working, but the team cannot grow.
Tip Upgrading the owner’s plan is what adds seats. A teammate cannot raise the team’s seat count by upgrading their own account, because entitlements come from the owner.
