Preferences and appearance

Set your app preferences under Settings > Preferences, including auto-saving discovered URLs to your Library and your default schema format. Switch between light, dark, and system appearance from the theme button in the header.

Your app preferences live under Settings > Preferences. Appearance (light or dark mode) is set separately, from the theme button in the header, because it applies to your browser rather than your account. Here is what each control does.

App preferences #

Auto-save to Library
When on, URLs that SuperSchema discovers are saved to your Library automatically, so you do not have to add them one by one. Turn it off if you would rather curate which pages get saved.

Default schema format #

This sets the preferred output format for generated schema. You can choose from:

FormatNotes
JSON-LD (Recommended)The format Google and other search engines recommend. It is easy to implement, does not interfere with your HTML, and is the most widely supported.
MicrodataAn older inline format that mixes markup into your HTML tags.
RDFaAnother inline format that adds attributes to your existing HTML.
Tip Leave this on JSON-LD unless you have a specific reason not to. It is the recommended choice and the one SuperSchema is built around.

Light, dark, and system appearance #

Appearance is controlled by the theme button in the header (the sun / moon / monitor icon), not on the Preferences page. Click it to choose:

Light
Always use the light theme.
Dark
Always use the dark theme.
System
Follow your device or operating system setting, switching automatically between light and dark.
Note Your theme choice is saved in your browser, so it sticks on that device but does not follow you to a different browser or computer. Set it again wherever you sign in and want the same look.
