Refunds and plan changes

Upgrade any time and pay only the prorated difference right away; downgrades take effect at the end of your billing period. Annual billing saves 20% and can be switched any time. For refunds, contact support: because a free Site Scan lets you evaluate first, we handle refund requests case by case.

You can change your monitoring plan at any time from Settings > Billing. Upgrades apply immediately and are billed with prorated charges, so you only pay the difference for the rest of your current period. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep what you paid for until then. For refunds, the fastest path is to contact support, since there is no automatic self-serve refund button.

Upgrades, downgrades, and timing #

Upgrade
Takes effect immediately. Stripe calculates the prorated difference for the remainder of your current period and charges your payment method on file, so your new, higher limits are available right away.
Downgrade
Takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep your current tier and limits until then, and the lower price starts on the next renewal.
Cancel
Ends your plan at the close of the current period rather than immediately. You can reactivate before the period ends to keep going without interruption.
Note When you upgrade, SuperSchema shows an estimated prorated charge before you confirm. In some cases Stripe calculates the exact prorated difference at the moment of invoicing rather than up front.
Tip If you are downgrading because you are over a limit, remember that already-monitored pages keep working. The limit only applies to activating new pages, so you will not lose access to existing work.

Monthly and annual billing #

Annual billing saves 20% compared to paying monthly. You can switch between monthly and annual at any time from Settings > Billing. Switching billing period follows the same proration rules as any other plan change: moving to annual is treated as an immediate change with a prorated charge, and reverting to monthly takes effect at your next renewal.

Refunds #

SuperSchema does not publish a fixed self-serve refund window, and there is no one-click refund in the app. Refund requests are handled by support on a case-by-case basis. Because a free Site Scan lets you evaluate how AI understands your site before you pay, and because you can cancel to stop future charges at the end of a period, the best first step is usually to run the free scan and start on a plan that matches your needs.

  1. Open Settings > Billing and find the charge or invoice in question.
  2. Contact support with the invoice details and what you would like to happen.
  3. If you cannot reach the app, use the /contact page to get in touch.
Note Audits are one-time purchases that are separate from monitoring subscriptions, so their terms are not the same as a monthly plan. For anything about an audit charge, refer to your audit agreement or contact us at /contact.
Warning This article describes the general approach, not a contractual policy. For the exact, current terms that apply to your account, check Settings > Billing or reach out through /contact.

Your work is safe through a change #

Changing tiers, switching billing period, or canceling does not delete your schema, AI-readable files, or history. Cancellation simply ends active monitoring at the end of the period, and your existing work stays available to view and export. If you reactivate or resubscribe later, you pick up from where you left off.
